Western Catskills Stay grew out of our own journey of spending more and more time in the Catskills. Coming from a health care background, we’ve always cared deeply about well-being—not only for people, but for the land itself. Over time, we’ve learned about the forests, worked with New York State forestry programs, and taken part in preserving this incredible corner of nature.

What started as a personal retreat has become something we want to share. We know how valuable it is to step away from the noise of the city, breathe fresh mountain air, and find peace in simple things—walking a trail, reading a book, watching wildlife, or just enjoying quiet. Western Catskills Stay is our way of inviting others to experience the same renewal and connection that drew us here.

We put this site together as a resource for anyone visiting the Western Catskills. It’s filled with the things we personally enjoy—hikes we’ve walked, spots to grab a meal, local art we’ve discovered, and small shops we think are worth visiting. These are our own favorites, and we hope they make your time here a little easier and a lot more fun. Along the way, we also want to shine a light on the local businesses that keep this community vibrant.
